Dying My Hair

by on Jul.06, 2005, under Digital Camera, Olympus

The third day with my camera I decided to give myself a new look. Remember how I was playing around with creating a fringe?

My black-blue hair dye! All shiny and gooey.

I always have trouble keeping the hair dye off my skin... Thats why I usually dye my hair at least a couple of days before I have to go out again, to give enough time/showers for the stains to leave my skin.

Second Camera Day

by on Jul.05, 2005, under Digital Camera, Olympus

My second day with my new digital camera wasn’t much more interesting.

My reading material at the time: Buffy books. Also, a rejection letter from a job I applied for. Im no stranger to those now.

A blurry shot of the other side of my room. You can see a poster of No Doubt, my all time favourite band with my idol Gwen Stefani. Theres also the dressing table which my dad painted black for me and my old fan.

An examination of the roots of my hair. My original colour is kind of blondey-brown, but for a long time I kept dying it red which is why it doesnt bleach properly.

My bedside table. The lamp was originally white with a green border and a puppy as the base with no plug on the end, but my dad painted it black, attached a plug and put a coke can as the base. You can also see my many nail polishes back from the days when I experimented with doing my nails all different colours.

A new word added to my arm: Bitch.

A new word added to my arm: "Bitch".

Another shot of my arm. You can see my silver watch and some of the things that I used to wear around my wrists. I cant have bare wrists or a bare neck, so I wear stuff that I either cant or dont take off.

First Camera Day

by on Jul.04, 2005, under Digital Camera, Olympus

This is my first day with my very first digital camera. Unfortunately, the first picture I ever took with it was my messy bed at my parents’ house…

My single bed at my parents' house. You can see my second mobile phone, a packet of gum, a packet of cigarettes and some rolley papers. That metal thing in the background was my remote control holder and the cardboard under the window is covering up a hole I kicked in the wall when I was sleepy and grumpy.

This is also my very first computer which I got only two months before my camera. I was slow to technology growing up in a luddite family. On the screen is the instructions for my camera!

Back in the days when I used MSN to chat to people. The person I am conversing with is the person I was seeing at the time, Sam. We werent officially dating at this point though. I also used to update my MSN name with the last time I cut myself and the last time I cried.

Another shot of my messy room. You can see my old guitar there which my Uncle once borrowed and then sold. So I ended up getting a new, blue guitar.

A smufgy image of me. Thats my second pair of glasses - circular golden frames. At this point I was also trying to decide if I wanted a fringe. Ironic: Next to me is a sticker that says, Thank you for not smoking. From back when I was a child. You can also see much more gum and Energiser rechargable batteries purchased with my new camera.

Just over three years prior to this picture I started cutting words into my arms and legs using safety pins. This one says Whore. Embarrassingly, the last time Id written that on myself was on my knee, and I misspelt it. A bit difficult to fix that typo...
