Who on Earth are you?
I am a 22 year old female living in Western Australia with far too many hobbies to keep track of. At the moment I work full time for a Library Management System and am also studying full time in order to complete my Bachelor of Computer Science with a minor in Psychology by the end of 2011. In 2008 I completed a Diploma of Library/Information Services making me a qualified Library Technician and am considering doing a Masters of Digital Library Learning in Norway, Italy and Estonia to make me a fully qualififed Librarian. After that, I may even complete a PhD so I can call myself "Dr. Gwyn".
To an extent, I enjoy web development and design, writing science fiction/fantasy novels, writing music and playing with images (i.e. photography and art). My friends are scattered within a large social circle (Perth geeks) and when I see them it usually involves drinking, or boardgames, or both.
Some of the things I enjoy in life are:
- Television/movies/books (I like to get lost in a world that isn't mine)
- Cats (my husband and I are planning to buy two Russian Blues some time this year)
- Games (boardgames, card games, occassionally computer games)
- Dancing (although I haven't done it in years)
- Music (both listening and creating - hoping to get a piano this year)
- Organising (there is a reason I went to libraries first)
- The English language (it can be a pain, but getting it right is so good!)
- Money (who doesn't like money? It buys cats and pianos and houses)
Some of the things that I don't enjoy in life are:
- Religion (I am an atheist and I find the idea of God suffocating)
- Mess (even though I am a messy person, I still don't like mess)
- Cigarettes (but I smoke anyway)
- Healthy living (I would love to be able to exercise and eat right, but damn it's hard)
- Mean/judgemental people (I am generally a very nice and polite person and think everyone should be as well)
- Lack of order (I know I'm a tiny bit pedantic, but sometimes there is reason for order)
- Lack of money (no matter how much you have, you always need [want] more)
